Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy is written specifically for copywriting engagements — not for physical goods or appointment bookings — because that's what we sell.

Before we start

If you cancel before the brief is confirmed and work begins, you get a full refund.

After the brief, before the first draft

If you cancel after we've confirmed the brief and begun work, but before the first draft is delivered, 50% of the package price is retained to cover the strategy and planning work already done; the remaining 50% is refunded.

After the first draft is delivered

Once the first draft has been delivered, the order is non-refundable. Instead, two revision rounds are included, at no extra cost, to bring the draft in line with the confirmed brief. If the brief was clear and complete and the second draft still doesn't meet it, we'll do a further round rather than leave it unresolved — this isn't unlimited revision, it's a commitment that a draft genuinely missing its own brief is our problem to fix, not yours to pay for again.

Content retainers

Retainer packages cancel with 30 days' written notice, effective at the end of the then-current paid month. Any pieces already commissioned within that final month are still delivered on their stated turnaround; unused "slots" from a partial month aren't carried over or refunded separately.

Your EU right of withdrawal

As an EU consumer, you normally have 14 days from placing an order to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services without giving a reason. Our turnaround times are built around starting work immediately, which is why, at checkout, we ask you to explicitly consent to work starting right away and to acknowledge that doing so means losing the 14-day withdrawal right once performance has begun, in proportion to what's already been delivered — this is permitted under EU consumer law (the Consumer Rights Directive) when you give that consent and acknowledgment before we start. If you don't tick that box, we hold your order for 14 days before beginning any work, and your full withdrawal right applies during that time; most clients do tick it, because the point of a fixed turnaround is starting immediately.
